Anchor Painting Alpha Phi Omega

Near the end of our pledging process for Alpha Phi Omega, the national service fraternity, the other pledges and I got the chance to spray paint the anchor on campus. At my university, clubs and societies take turns to paint it however they want. It’s a fun teambuilding activity.

We used gold and blue spray paint which are the national colors. Also, we were able to add our initials and the organization’s letters. Additionally, I got the chance to stand on top of  it to try to spray paint the top part. It was drizzling, but we still had a blast!

Finally, we took a photo of our pledge class and a large group photo of all of the brothers in attendance. We were done in no time and it was really a fun team-building activity. Rush week was the day after I posted this article. It was an awsome opportunity to meet and recruit new members interested in philanthropy.

Were you ever in a community service group? See what I’m up to and tell me where I should go and what I should do next. Also, I’m very open-minded and open to new adventure / events suggestions. Email me at
