Welcome to the fourth and final post for Always Eat After 7PM. Here I will share my final thoughts about following this plan for the last three weeks.
Week Four: Conclusion – final thoughts
This is the last post of this four-part-series on Always Eat After 7PM by Joel Marion. Here are the links to post 1, post 2, and post 3 if you’d like to get up to speed on my diet journey.
To summarize, based on surprising science, Always Eat After 7 PM debunks popular diet myths and offers an easy-to-follow diet that accelerates fat-burning and allows you to indulge in your most intense food cravings: Eating the majority of your calories at night. The Always Eat After 7 PM plan consists of: The 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you’ll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals, The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good.
Weight Loss
I’m currently in the main phase of the diet. I will be on that phase until I reach my goal weight. Results aren’t as fast in the acceleration phase, but there is a lot more flexibility and an allotted cheat meal. I drank an alcoholic drink after 3 weeks of dieting and to be honest, I really didn’t crave it as much as before. I am still losing weight at a more sustainable rate and I still get to enjoy good food.

Mental Clarity
My mind is less cluttered. I had been putting off a big task for ages: organizing my closet. Trust me, it sounds minor, but it was a task I delayed for months. Just thinking about it made me anxious. I decided yo be productive and fold, color-code, and hang all my clean clothes that had been spilling out of my closet. I’ve been able to focus more and be more productive. I even sorted all the makeup in my vanity.
Clearer Skin
Additionally, I have clearer skin from staying hydrated and drinking water. I drink at least three refillable water bottles (roughly 76 oz/day) and my skin has been clearing up. I’m typically prone to stress or dairy-related breakouts, but my skin is sufficiently moisturized and breakouts are less frequent.
“Water helps digest your food, expel wastes, regulate your temperature, protect your tissues, cushion your joints, and protect your spinal column, among many other vital functions. It is through water that hormones flow to the proper organs, that nutrients reach all cells, and that toxins are diluted and removed from the body.”
How will I keep it going? Final Thoughts
To keep the momentum going I will continue to follow this diet even after the conclusion of this series. Kickboxing will be opening in a week and I will supplement my diet with regular exercise. I will also continue implementing the mindset strategies into my everyday life.
In conclusion, this is a diet book I highly recommend. If nothing else, it teaches you to make better choices for a healthier lifestyle.

Glad that this diet has gone so well for you – it’s good to find something you can incorporate into your life easily, and stick to it.
This is the second review I am reading about this book. Now I need to really have alook. Good program certainly if it is working for many.Good mental health, good skin, weight loss are commendable benefits. .
The benefits of making better food choices are clear. This program seems to be one that is sustainable. Is the acceleration phase very different from the weight loss phase?
I am glad you liked it and your skin looks awesome and better even through photos. I am so happy for you!
This diet has been so helpful to me too! I went out with my husband and a friend yesterday, and walked around so much more than normal without stopping much. I’m slow because I’m short and have little legs, but that was basically the only real issue. It is crazy how much has changed since I started this diet, and the same goes for you. Your results are impressive and I’m excited about how well you are doing with it!
Awesome, congratulations on your continued success with this book‘s plan. It sounds like you have done really well with it and are continuing to see improvements beyond simply weight loss. I definitely need to take your lead and start drinking a lot more.
Aw I am so glad that is is going super well for you. It makes you feel so good and also boosts confidence too. xc
Thank you for sharing your own personal journey with this. I love that it helps people to put healthy eating into practice in their lives without expecting people to give up everything they enjoy. After all, if you can’t enjoy food, do you think you’re honestly going to stick with it? I think we’re going to see an influx of people looking into weight loss options following the lockdown, I’ve seen a lot of talk about ‘quarantine pounds’, and this looks like a great way to tackle that!
