Here is where I will post about crafts and other art projects I have done. I love to try new crafts and honing my skills. I can crochet, paint, draw, and more. Also, I’ll be posting a few tips and tricks for crafting.
Part of crafting is taking the mundane and making it extrordinary. I like creating something out of nothing and transforming the drab to fab. Crafting is the perfect way to express ones creativity.

Being able to craft and make things of your own is one of the best things that you can do with your time. After all, in a modern era where most of us spend our lives sitting in front of screens with our brains turned off, being able to make something with your own two hands that you can actually be proud of is a wonderful alternative.
That being said, what if you want to take things a little further with your crafts and actually start to earn some extra cash from it? More and more people are trying this out as an option but it’s not always easy. With that in mind, here are some things to do in order to start making money from your crafts.
From vision boards and wedding stationery to birthday cards and Christmas decorations, there is always something that needs crafting. It is always a good idea to have a dedicated space set up to hold all your crafts. Make sure you have plenty of space because we guarantee it won’t be long until the drawers are overspilling with lengths of beautiful ribbon, sparkling sequins and all the washi tape that you could ever dream of. Whether you are a seasoned crafter or new to the hobby, we are sure you know the essentials that you need to make quirky and unique creations. So here, we are looking at some of the things that you might not have thought of.
Your vision board should focus on how you want to feel, not just things you want. When it comes to making a vision board, the first rule is that THERE ARE NO RULES! Vision boards help to apply the LAW OF ATTRACTION which simply says that you attract into your life whatever you think about and focus on. A vision board should have images and words that inspire you to take action and you may reflect on your goals when it comes to your:
VALUES
FAMILY
CAREER
RELATIONSHIPS / FRIENDSHIPS
FITNESS / HEALTH
LEARNING / GROWING
HOBBIES / PASSIONS
Here’s how my vision board reflects my goals for 2019:
Vision Board Theme: “2019 the year of me: stronger, braver, kinder, and unstoppable“
“Celebrate life” / “Treat yo’ self”
Live life to the fullest and celebrate even the small victories and milestones and don’t deprive yourself of happiness. It’s okay to indulge sometimes without feeling guilty about it.
“Your vibe attracts your tribe”
Surround yourself with people who give you energy and positive vibes only! Be the sort of person that makes people happy and who people want to be around and don’t let toxic people pull you into their dramas or problems.
“Less bitter, more glitter” / “Never let anyone dull your sparkle”
Be unapologetically you. Shine like glitter and be bubbly like champagne if that’s who you are. Never compare yourself or your journey with someone else or take others’ opinions personally and just be your happy, sparkly self.
“Start each day with a grateful heart”
The more you appreciate what you have the more happy you will be! Don’t take anything, anyone, or any day for granted!
“beYOUtiful” / “Wake up and makeup”
Remember you are beautiful in your own skin: makeup or no makeup! This year I’m going to share more unique looks because I am passionate about expressing my creativity with makeup.
“Believe in the power of your dreams” / “Dream without fear and love without limits”
I’m a firm believer that if your dreams don’t scare or intimidate you then you aren’t dreaming big enough!
“Be kind”
Being kind is my biggest goal, making a positive difference to people is what drives me to work hard so I can give back more. One of my kindness goals is to hit the maximum number of platelet donations this year, that’s 25!
“Fitness”
Kickboxing at least 4 classes a week and counting my calories will get me to my fitness goal of 120lbs by May of this year! I’m tracking my progress via apps, fitness trackers, and journals. My virtual race goal is to complete at least 10 virtual races this year (matching 2018).
“Beach Please”
I would love to save enough for a tropical getaway so I need to work on a side hustle and to be thrifty so I can lay on a beach with a pineapple/coconut drink in my hand
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”
Take risks because fortune favors the bold! Be brave and just go for it because you never know until you try.
“Your smile is your LOGO your PERSONALITY is your BUSINESS CARD, and how you leave people feeling after an experience with you becomes your TRADEMARK”
I attached my social media business card and am currently working on building my “@HONEYBUNNYTWEE” brand! My numerical goals are 10,000 Instagram followers (currently over 7,000), 1,500 Twitter followers (currently over 1,000), and 700 likes on my Facebook page (currently over 400)! How I’m going to achieve this is by consistently creating my own creative content and by reading and interacting with other bloggers and social media accounts I admire!
So what if you don’t have the materials or time to make a vision board? My suggestion is to create a Pinterest board (like this one) and save pins and ideas for later!
Did you make a vision board or do you plan on making one? If you have one I’d love to see it just use #hbtblog, this year I want to work with and connect with other goal-getters / bloggers / creatives / small businesses / brands! Email me: [email protected] and maybe we can collaborate on a project or on reaching our goals together 🙂 <3
The Hop Knot in Southington held it’s second annual Disney Karaoke event on Wednesday, August 5, 2018.
I am going to sound like a crazy person, but I made both a WALL-E and EVE costume the night before! I had a lot of boxes laying around from my online shopping obsession and I figured I would put them to good use. Literally, before my kickboxing class I walked into the craft store intending to just buy white paint for EVE and I ended up buying the equivalent amount of art supplies for a small art class. Both costumes were made of cardboard, duct tape, glue, acrylic paint, and of course *love*.
Costumes
The costumes were a hit! People asked for photos with us. This was my second time going to Disney Karaoke and it was a blast! As expected, there were a lot of people in costumes. The Disney fandom is so supportive and spirited. There was a lot of Disneybounding at the event. For instance, my friend dressed up as disneybound Cinderella. I coincidentally wore my Yes.Fit Cinderella virtual race challenge shirt. It seriously wasn’t planned. If you’re new to Yes.Fit, use 4LJ5Glfo during check-out for a discount!
The Hop Knot had a Disney themed menu for the night. There were “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” pretzels (that isn’t a Disney film, but who cares) and “Kronk’s Spinach Puffs”. There were fun cocktails like the “Himalayan Snow-cone” and the “You’re Welcome” inspired by the film Moana.
We were able to sing “I Won’t Say I’m in Love” from Hercules (my favorite sassy woman Disney song) and “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” from Lion King. My boyfriend didn’t realize that “Life is a Highway” was a Disney song (Cars) and this time he couldn’t pick a song for us to duet because “I Can Show You the World” was already taken twice before we could request it. Maybe one day I’ll finally get him to finish watching Mulan, etc… 😉 since he doesn’t have many Disney songs in his repertoire. Overall, it was a fun night and I’ll definitely come again next time. What’s your favorite go-to Disney song?

I helped my little sister decorate a shoebox for Valentine’s Day. She and her classmates are making dropboxes so their other classmates can put their Valentines inside. We used foam stickers in pink, purple, red, and white. There were various shapes like cupcakes, hearts, stars, and lips. My little sister also cut felt hearts and ribbons for us to glue onto the shoebox. She also twisted a red and pink pipe cleaner into a heart and we pasted it on the top. As a final touch, we added a bow on top. Make your own Valentine’s Day box.
