5 Things You Need To Complete Your Computer Set Up
When it comes to sorting out your computer set up you need to ensure you have everything you need in order to use it properly. Whilst it may take some time to have the full budget needed to buy everything you want, when you finally have your full set up complete you will find using your computer that much easier.
Whether it’s finding somewhere comfortable to sit or ensuring you have a place to organise your thoughts, finishing your set up should be your main priority. With that in mind, here are 5 things you need to complete your computer set up:
Being able to craft and make things of your own is one of the best things that you can do with your time. After all, in a modern era where most of us spend our lives sitting in front of screens with our brains turned off, being able to make something with your own two hands that you can actually be proud of is a wonderful alternative.
That being said, what if you want to take things a little further with your crafts and actually start to earn some extra cash from it? More and more people are trying this out as an option but it’s not always easy. With that in mind, here are some things that you need to do in order to start making money from your crafts.
From vision boards and wedding stationery to birthday cards and Christmas decorations, there is always something that needs crafting. It is always a good idea to have a dedicated space set up to hold all your crafts – make sure you have plenty of space because we guarantee it won’t be long until the drawers are overspilling with lengths of beautiful ribbon, sparkling sequins and all the washi tape that you could ever dream of.
Whether you are a seasoned crafter or new to the hobby, we are sure you know the essentials that you need to make quirky and unique creations, so here, we are looking at some of the things that you might not have thought of.
The power of a laminator should never be underestimated. It is an incredibly useful piece of equipment in general – you can laminate kids certificates and drawings to keep forever, schedules and various other household uses, but when it comes to crafts, a laminator really comes into its own.
You can laminate handmade bookmarks or homemade organisers, and if you print off templates and patterns, you can encase them in plastic and use them time and time again – saving your resources, time and money.
A Vinyl Cutting Machine
Vinyl is a really versatile material when it comes to crafting, but it is not the easiest to cut by hand, especially if the design is intricate.
A vinyl cutting machine, such as the ones recommended by www.vinylcuttingmachineguide.com will make life an awful lot easier for you and free up lots of time to do the more exciting bits.
A Glue Gun
For many creations, white glue or a glue stick just is not going to cut it when it comes to binding things together, and this is where a glue gun is incredibly useful.
You simply plug it in, pop the stick of glue in and wait for it to melt. There are newer ones on the market that do not get quite as hot, so if you want to use them with kids, they may be worth looking out for.
A Heat Resistant Mat
If you do use a hot glue gun as we mentioned above, or other tools that involve heat, such as a fusing tool or an embossing tool, you will always need somewhere safe to put it down.
Don’t risk damaging your work surface, or worse, causing a fire hazard, and use a heat resistant mat. They are usually inexpensive to buy and should be one of your crafting essentials.
Finally, a good pair of pointed tweezers will be invaluable. These are a really cheap addition to your stock of equipment, but one that you will use time and time again, regardless of what craft you are doing.
From picking it up and placing tiny embellishments such as sequins and gems, to unpicking threads – you will soon find that you are lost without them!
What are your must-have additions to your crafting stash?
Your vision board should focus on how you want to feel, not just things you want. When it comes to making a vision board, the first rule is that THERE ARE NO RULES! Vision boards help to apply the LAW OF ATTRACTION which simply says that you attract into your life whatever you think about and focus on. A vision board should have images and words that inspire you to take action and you may reflect on your goals when it comes to your:
RELATIONSHIPS / FRIENDSHIPS
FITNESS / HEALTH
LEARNING / GROWING
HOBBIES / PASSIONS
Here’s how my vision board reflects my goals for 2019:
Vision Board Theme: “2019 the year of me: stronger, braver, kinder, and unstoppable“
“Celebrate life” / “Treat yo’ self”
Live life to the fullest and celebrate even the small victories and milestones and don’t deprive yourself of happiness. It’s okay to indulge sometimes without feeling guilty about it.
“Your vibe attracts your tribe”
Surround yourself with people who give you energy and positive vibes only! Be the sort of person that makes people happy and who people want to be around and don’t let toxic people pull you into their dramas or problems.
“Less bitter, more glitter” / “Never let anyone dull your sparkle”
Be unapologetically you. Shine like glitter and be bubbly like champagne if that’s who you are. Never compare yourself or your journey with someone else or take others’ opinions personally and just be your happy, sparkly self.
“Start each day with a grateful heart”
The more you appreciate what you have the more happy you will be! Don’t take anything, anyone, or any day for granted!
“beYOUtiful” / “Wake up and makeup”
Remember you are beautiful in your own skin: makeup or no makeup! This year I’m going to share more unique looks because I am passionate about expressing my creativity with makeup.
“Believe in the power of your dreams” / “Dream without fear and love without limits”
I’m a firm believer that if your dreams don’t scare or intimidate you then you aren’t dreaming big enough!
Being kind is my biggest goal, making a positive difference to people is what drives me to work hard so I can give back more. One of my kindness goals is to hit the maximum number of platelet donations this year, that’s 25!
Kickboxing at least 4 classes a week and counting my calories will get me to my fitness goal of 120lbs by May of this year! I’m tracking my progress via apps, fitness trackers, and journals. My virtual race goal is to complete at least 10 virtual races this year (matching 2018).
I would love to save enough for a tropical getaway so I need to work on a side hustle and to be thrifty so I can lay on a beach with a pineapple/coconut drink in my hand
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”
Take risks because fortune favors the bold! Be brave and just go for it because you never know until you try.
“Your smile is your LOGO your PERSONALITY is your BUSINESS CARD, and how you leave people feeling after an experience with you becomes your TRADEMARK”
I attached my social media business card and am currently working on building my “@HONEYBUNNYTWEE” brand! My numerical goals are 10,000 Instagram followers (currently over 7,000), 1,500 Twitter followers (currently over 1,000), and 700 likes on my Facebook page (currently over 400)! How I’m going to achieve this is by consistently creating my own creative content and by reading and interacting with other bloggers and social media accounts I admire!
So what if you don’t have the materials or time to make a vision board? My suggestion is to create a Pinterest board (like this one) and save pins and ideas for later!
Did you make a vision board or do you plan on making one? If you have one I’d love to see it just use #hbtblog, this year I want to work with and connect with other goal-getters / bloggers / creatives / small businesses / brands! Email me: firstname.lastname@example.org and maybe we can collaborate on a project or on reaching our goals together 🙂 <3
The Hop Knot in Southington held it’s second annual Disney Karaoke event on Wednesday, August 5, 2018.
I am going to sound like a crazy person, but I made both a WALL-E and EVE costume the night before! I had a lot of boxes laying around from my online shopping obsession and I figured I would put them to good use. Literally, before my kickboxing class I walked into the craft store intending to just buy white paint for EVE and I ended up buying the equivalent amount of art supplies for a small art class. Both costumes were made of cardboard, duct tape, glue, acrylic paint, and of course *love*.
The costumes were a hit! People asked for photos with us. This was my second time going to Disney Karaoke and it was a blast! As expected, there were a lot of people in costumes. The Disney fandom is so supportive and spirited. There was a lot of Disneybounding at the event. For instance, my friend dressed up as disneybound Cinderella. I coincidentally wore my Yes.Fit Cinderella virtual race challenge shirt. It seriously wasn’t planned. If you’re new to Yes.Fit, use 4LJ5Glfo during check-out for a discount!
The Hop Knot had a Disney themed menu for the night. There were “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” pretzels (that isn’t a Disney film, but who cares) and “Kronk’s Spinach Puffs”. There were fun cocktails like the “Himalayan Snow-cone” and the “You’re Welcome” inspired by the film Moana.
We were able to sing “I Won’t Say I’m in Love” from Hercules (my favorite sassy woman Disney song) and “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” from Lion King. My boyfriend didn’t realize that “Life is a Highway” was a Disney song (Cars) and this time he couldn’t pick a song for us to duet because “I Can Show You the World” was already taken twice before we could request it. Maybe one day I’ll finally get him to finish watching Mulan, etc… 😉 since he doesn’t have many Disney songs in his repertoire. Overall, it was a fun night and I’ll definitely come again next time. What’s your favorite go-to Disney song?

I Like You a Latte! I’m obsessed with green tea soy lattes. They are really tasty. My friend told me that they were one of the healthier options at Starbucks. I didn’t choose it because it was, but I’m not complaining. To be honest, the light green color intrigued me.
Matcha can be bought in powdered form and added to any recipe you want. It can also be a stand alone beverage. Below is the brand I like best after trial and error. You can get it here: https://amzn.to/2VGemKZ
I like to treat myself to a green tea soy latte a few times a week after classes. Especially when I need to stay late nights in the library. Otherwise, I just drink my coffee black so I can be productive and function in society. What’s your favorite comfort drink?

I helped my little sister decorate a shoebox for Valentine’s Day. She and her classmates are making dropboxes so their other classmates can put their Valentines inside. We used foam stickers in pink, purple, red, and white. There were various shapes like cupcakes, hearts, stars, and lips. My little sister also cut felt hearts and ribbons for us to glue onto the shoebox. She also twisted a red and pink pipe cleaner into a heart and we pasted it on the top. As a final touch, we added a bow on top. Make your own Valentine’s Day box.
We used stuff we already had around the house. The ribbon we used was a candycane striped one from Christmas. You don’t have to break the bank to make one of these, but you can buy more Valentine’s Day decorations if you want.
Overall, this is a simple straight-forward craft for little ones. Most importantly, you get spend quality time together to make something beautiful. Also, it is a great way to reuse and repurpose an empty shoebox. After Valentine’s Day my sister showed me all the cards and treats she got fir her classmates.

Do you ever need a quick crafting idea? Do you live with younger children? If you answered yes to both then I’ve got your solution! An idea is finding a drawing or doodles they’ve made and sewing a real-life version. My little sister made a drawing of a bunny holding a carrot and I used felt and colored thread to recreate it. You will need basic sewing experience.
First, I traced the original shape of the doodle into the white felt. That’s because the bunny is white in her drawing. Then I cut it out and made an extra for the other side. Then I embroidered one felt piece with colored thread. I placed the decorated piece of felt on top of the second piece of felt (designs on the inside) and sewed around it partially, flipped it inside out, and stuffed it before stitching it back up. It is a really creative and personal present that is bound to cause smiles.
Show me what doodles you’ve brought to life. Check out my Pinterest for more Artsy Stuff! If you have any more crafty ideas for me email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and maybe we can collaborate on a project together!
