Could You Be Selling Your Crafts?

Being able to craft and make things of your own is one of the best things that you can do with your time. Disney Karaoke 🎤🎵🎶 DIY Costumes WALL-E and EVE

Disney Karaoke

The Hop Knot in Southington held it’s second annual Disney Karaoke event on Wednesday, August 5, 2018.

I am going to sound like a crazy person, but I made both a WALL-E and EVE costume the night before! I had a lot of boxes laying around from my online shopping obsession and I figured I would put them to good use. Literally, before my kickboxing class I walked into the craft store intending to just buy white paint for EVE and I ended up buying the equivalent amount of art supplies for a small art class. Both costumes were made of cardboard, duct tape, glue, acrylic paint, and of course *love*.

Costumes

The costumes were a hit! People asked for photos with us. This was my second time going to Disney Karaoke and it was a blast! As expected, there were a lot of people in costumes. The Disney fandom is so supportive and spirited. There was a lot of Disneybounding at the event. For instance, my friend dressed up as disneybound Cinderella. I coincidentally wore my
Yes.Fit Cinderella virtual race challenge shirt. It seriously wasn’t planned. If you’re new to Yes.Fit, use 4LJ5Glfo during check-out for a discount!

The Hop Knot had a Disney themed menu for the night. There were “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” pretzels (that isn’t a Disney film, but who cares) and “Kronk’s Spinach Puffs”. There were fun cocktails like the “Himalayan Snow-cone” and the “You’re Welcome” inspired by the film Moana.

We were able to sing “I Won’t Say I’m in Love” from Hercules (my favorite sassy woman Disney song) and “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” from Lion King. My boyfriend didn’t realize that “Life is a Highway” was a Disney song (Cars) and this time he couldn’t pick a song for us to duet because “I Can Show You the World” was already taken twice before we could request it. Maybe one day I’ll finally get him to finish watching Mulan, etc… 😉 since he doesn’t have many Disney songs in his repertoire. Overall, it was a fun night and I’ll definitely come again next time. What’s your favorite go-to Disney song?

Valentine’s Day Box With My Little Sister

I helped my little sister decorate a shoebox for Valentine’s Day. She and her classmates are making dropboxes so their other classmates can put their Valentines inside. We used foam stickers in pink, purple, red, and white. There were various shapes like cupcakes, hearts, stars, and lips. My little sister also cut felt hearts and ribbons for us to glue onto the shoebox. She also twisted a red and pink pipe cleaner into a heart and we pasted it on the top. As a final touch, we added a bow on top. Make your own Valentine’s Day box.

Perler Animals

For little sister’s last day of second grade we decided to make cute little presents for her classmates: Perler animals. I had just introduced my sister to perler beads, one of my favorite crafts when I was a kid. Of course, back then I needed my mom’s help to iron my creations so adult guidance is suggested.
