Week One: Always Eat After 7PM- Why I Chose This Diet

As many of you can probably relate, when the gyms and fitness centers temporarily shut down during the pandemic I was unsure about how I was going to stay as active as before. This month would have been my 2 year anniversary of kickboxing. Kickboxing is my favorite workout that I enjoy the most and not being able to go kickboxing has caused irritability, weight gain, and stress. Instead of dwelling on what I can’t control I decided it’s a perfect time to get serious about shedding some excess weight, increasing my energy and just feeling better in general.

Why A Toned Body Achieves The Feminine Shape

Most women can agree, they would rather have a toned body than a body that looks like it lives in the gym. Most women don’t want washboard abs, they want a toned midsection. Would you rather have curvy and full arms or would you rather have ripped and shredded arms? The former option is probably the one you’d sway more to. This is a natural desire for most women because being toned achieves what the classic female look is supposed to be. It’s feminine. It’s not bulky, it’s not ripped, it’s not disproportionate. In other words, it’s not a masculine shape and looks. If some women do want a more bodybuilder type of body, that’s fine too. To each their own. But if you’re one of the women that do want to have a slender, sleek and full-body shape, then being toned is something you need to achieve.

Wellness Wednesday: Start Small with Strength Exercises by Leah Custer

It only seems appropriate with the time of year to share some workout strategies and strength exercises. Many people decide on New Year’s “I’m going to live healthier”, “I’m going to work out”, “I’m going to lose weight”. The list is endless about losing weight or eating healthy and exercising. For real though, it will not happen overnight and you need to go easy on yourself. Start small and ENJOY it instead pushing too hard, getting overwhelmed and as a result giving up because it’s too hard. Here’s a thought… don’t make it too hard to begin with!
