Earlier this week was Earth Day 2019! Who says saving the planet can’t be stylish?💕 Here are 6 environmentally-friendly tips and sustainable products I actually use! Please note: I’m not perfect and I’m not 100% as green as I could be, but I always make an effort to conserve and be as conscientious as possible #ThereIsNoPlanetB
#HBTblog Environmentally-Friendly Tips:
1️⃣ REUSABLE STRAWS 🐢 (Amazon Affiliate Link)

Help save the turtles and eliminate single-use plastic items such as straws. I got these cool reusable iridescent mermaid straws, they are are only $7.99, easy to clean (comes with cleaners), and they’re super pretty! Bring them to restaurants and remember to tell your waiteress/waiter that you BYOS (brought your own straw).
2️⃣ REUSABLE WATER BOTTLES 💧 (Amazon Affiliate Link)

Take a refillable water bottle with you to your workout or when you’re out and about and just refill it at various available water fountains or sinks. Some even come with filters for a sanitary drinking experience like the Brita water bottles.
3️⃣ SECOND-HAND CLOTHES👗

26 billion pounds of clothing and textiles go into landfills each year,
yet 95 percent could be reused or recycled!
I’m the type of girl who gets really excited when someone compliments my outfit and I get to say, “Thanks it was only $3 at the thrift-store!” Sometimes the clothes I find at Savers are cuter than the ones on the rack at retail! When you buy “pre-loved” clothes you save the environment and you can find cute outfits at amazing prices!
4️⃣ REUSABLE GROCERY BAGS👜

When buying groceries bring your own reusable totes and bags and ditch the single-use plastic bags.
5️⃣ GREEN BEAUTY PRODUCTS💄

Buy reusable makeup removing towels, and always try to buy cruelty-free makeup or makeup with natural ingredients.
6️⃣ ARRANGE LOCAL CLEAN-UPS 🚮
This should go without saying, but if you are going out into nature PICK UP YOUR TRASH and leave in the same state as you found it or better!

Question of the Day: What do you do/use to help save the planet? 🌎🌈

Reusable shopping bags are an easy change we all can make. In our town, plastic bags were banned about a year ago. At first, everyone was up in arms yet know it has become second nature to either bring your own bag or simply go without.
Al great idea. I have the first 4. We are also involved in a project with our local 4-H clubs to collect bottle caps and lids and recycle them to make benches for our county fair. It has kept thousands of pounds of plastic out of our local landfill over the past several years.
reusable straws and bottles are my favorite! yes I do drink a lot so it is very important to me
These are all such easy changes we can make in our lives – and need to.
Such simple ideas, but so so important. We can all help, can’t we?
By the way, I’m that type of girl too who likes to shout out about her bargain finds at thrift stores.
I need to get my hands on those colorful straws 😍 will be looking up on natural makeup products too. 🙂
I really like the presentation of your post great write up
I love the hashtag #thereisnoplanetb. We all need to do our part to help preserve our home and your suggestions are great starting points.
Great post! If we all just make small efforts to keep our planet safe then a truly big thing is being done! Shopping second hand is my favourite as its usually cheap and if you find a good shop you can often discover some really unique finds!
I love metal straws! I carry one wherever I go! I hate the new paper straws places carry now!
I love everything here and the straws are out of this world. Nice colorful blog

Being green is a change of mindset that we all should adopt. There are a lot of 2nd hand clothes that will perfectly compete with new one and keep some change in your pocket.
Reusable shopping bags prevent so much waste, and it’s an easy switch that anyone can do. I think more people would bring their own bags if more stores started charging for them.
Some great ideas to contribute towards making this world a better place to live. I do use of these products like bottle and straw.
These are all such simple changes to make, most of them I don’t even think about anymore because they are a habit.
I love Green stuff! I actually stopped using straws all together…I could not come up with a viable reason to use them to be honest. I’m actually in the middle of creating a post all about straws as a matter of fact! Great post!
